|
HAPPY
WU YEAR: [2005 Wu Summary - End Of Year Review] |
|
It is once again another end of the
year, 2005 has had its ups and downs, fast and slow moments,
2005 (MMV) is/was a common year starting on Saturday of the
Gregorian calendar. It corresponds to the years 5765-5766 in
the Hebrew Calendar and 1425-1426 in the Islamic Calendar.
2005 is the World Year of Physics, the Year of the Rooster
in the Chinese calendar, and the International Year of the
Eucharist in Catholicism.

What does 2005 mean to the Wu-Tang
fans? How significant was it? How many albums came out this
year from the clan and Wu-fam? Slamming albums? Who or what
groups got initiated into the Killa Beez? Did we lose any
members this year? Wu disappointments? Qualms / Beefs, list
goes on, One thing is for sure, Wu-Tang fans worldwide sure
have something to admire or criticize about the Wu, For
every time some one dies, another is born, so for every good
moment, there is also unfortunately a bad one.
Wu-International has compiled a small list of some of the
memorable moments, Recommendations, Power Moves, Special
Shout Outs to contributors in the Wu-tang movement in 2005,
Expectations for 2006, and so on, So sit back and reminisce
about what 2005 had to offer, You can add on at the
FORUM as
naturally we would have missed some things out. Happy Wu
Year! |
Memorable Moments:
- Armel Of Ancient Coins teams up with Recka of Royal fam to
form A&R.
- Formation and album from super group Black Market Militia
- Prodigal Sunn, Blue Raspberry & Streetlife releases their
long overdue debuts.
- Wutangcorp came back online
- RZA releases The Wu-Tang Manual
- Darkim Be Allah & Allahwise returns back to the scene with
new album after 5 years
- GZA/Genius teams up with DJ Muggs for an album.
- Wu Music group is formed
- GZA takes Liquid Swords Entertainment to Babygrande records.
- Wu-Tang Latino chamber is introduced to the world
- Alife NYC teamed up with Wu to release mixtapes / cloths
- Critics takes The RZA's acting skills seriously as he steals
the shine on "Derailed" movie.
- Killa Sin gets out of jail.
- Chessboxin added into the Oxford American dictionary as
inspired by Wu-Tang Clan
- Ghostface Killah launches dolls
Power Movers:
- Chambermusik! [Love it or hate
it, Call it a Wu site or not, Chambermusik held down Wu-Tang
Clan fans worldwide with numerous releases of rare albums,
Interviews of favorite artists, Exclusive news and Online radio]
- Think Differently Music
[Reinventing the Wu-tang movement, Started off releasing
exclusive mixtapes of unreleased Wu-tang materials, from CDs,
DVDs, to Cloths and finally progressed to releasing one of the
best albums of the year album via the major network]
- Dom Pachino aka P.R. Terrorist
[Quoting a fan "Dom P is like the Master P of the Killa Beez"
One of the hardest working artists in the game, forming Team
Napalm, releasing about 5 solid albums in a year, 2 DVDs plus
running a label. Respect Due!!
Nu-Tang Clan [New Wu-tang
affiliates]:
- Black Market Militia / Maccabeez
[Who said Wu-killa beez only have to be initiated by The RZA?
with that being true, check the line up, Killah Priest, Timbo
King & Hell Razah are all official Killa beez, So when formed
within themselves it is only logically nothing changes. same
would go for the new line up of Maccabeez, which by the way is
not a new group but the new line up was officially noted this
year, and Black Market Militia regardless of the 2 non members
on it.
- Harlem 6 [Introduced to the
world by the RZA, they aim in the fam is to bring that
"commercial underground" sound into Wu-tang, Thug Righteous
Music as they call it, and also introducing Wu-tang R&B. With
rumors of them working with RZA for a new album, 2006 will see
what they truly have to offer under the W, and an official album
will make their inclusion authentic]
- Wu-Tang Latino [The name speaks
for itself, The introduction of this group was greeted with
mixed feelings by fans as it was not hip-hop but a Reggeaton
chamber of Wu-tang movement. Fans have also shown a strong
desire for Dom Pachino to be involved in this project. With
Reggeaton currently dominating the charts, Wu-Tang Latino stands
a great chance of gaining new fans as well as converting
non-believers.]
- 71RAW [There are still
questions as to the initiation of the group, 71Raw members have
confirmed they are now official killa beez, but comments by
their mentor Christ Bearer suggest they are just Wu-Fam and in
line or in works to become official when the time is right.
Regardless of that, 71Raw have shown they are a force to be
reckoned with by resurrecting that Westcoast killa Beez sound
and getting everyone involved in their projects.]
Album Counts:
- Wu-Tang Clan: 2 [Strangely
there were really only 2 official albums from the generals this
year] GZA/Genius duet with Muggs & U-God's second album. If you
add the album put out by Ghostface & Trife, plus the 3 albums
'put out for' Ol' Dirty Bastards then the count would be 5.
Hopefully next year would host a higher count.
- Wu-Tang Killa Beez: 23 [Without
a doubt the killa beez held the W down this year with release of
official albums via indie, major or the internet, Without
mentioning the numerous quality mixtapes unleashed into the
market.
- Wu-Fam: 6 [Whose fam and
whose not, this has been a question the fans have been debating
for years especially when it comes to some artists, This year
have its fair share of strangeness, Artists once down were not
so keen to claim their affiliations with the Wu, While others
who had no links whatsoever were claiming Wu to the fullest all
the way from US to Russia. The count of 6 albums exclude
re-releases or re-issues.
Most Loves Moments:
- Killa Sin
[Killarmy] Came back home
- LA The Darkman and Bronze Nazareth
gets signed to Think Differently Music
- Ironman Meets Metal Face - The
best of underground teams up as Ghostface Killah connects with
MF Doom for an album.
- Liquid Sword + Soul Assassin -
GZA/Genius and Cypress Hills DJ Muggs releases one of the best
albums this year.
- Block Famous - Return of Darkim
Be Allah & Allahwise to the music scene
- Wu-Tang Killa Beez 10th Anniversary
European Tour for next year
Most Frowned At Moments:
- The Rebel -
Inspectah Deck was first to team with DJ Muggs for an album but
nothing cam of it, Hopefully INS would learn something from The
GZA's collaboration.
- Y-Kim The Illfigure
- Be it a publicity stunt or not, Y-kim airs out differences
with some members of the clan and goes further by challenging
the entire Wu-tang/Killa beez to a battle.
- S-Unit - Trife and Solomon
Childs were at the fore front of Theodore Unit, so it was
disappointing when there were rumors that S-Childs has left the
set.
- Wu-Tang Reunion - A year before
the Wu showed a united front just before ODB passed away, The
reunion album did not happen this year but most worrying were
rumors that Ghostface Killah and maybe U-God has not done any
contributions to the album, It is still just a rumor as it is
not a Wu-tang album without any of the members.
- The Corp - This should have
been on the most loved moments, as the Wutangcorp site came back
online in full force this year and the fans found another forum
to Wu, wu, wu, not just another forum but an official forum, and
just as quick as it came back it went down again. At end of the
year the site has promised to get back soon, So we all look
forward to that.

Face The Leatha: Leathafase
From The Hillside Scramblers have been heard on a number of Wu-Tang
related projects, most notably that of U-God, From U-Gods first
album "Godlen Arm Redemption" to the "Supa Nigga EP" and lately "Mr. Xcitement", Leathafase
has contributed both lyrical and also on the production tip to these
albums.
|

In 2004 U-God gathered a
team that already existed and presented them to the world as "U-Godzilla
Presents Hillside Scramblers". With the Wu-tang affiliation
and U-God behind him the fans have for ever been waiting for Leathafase
to come through with a solo album, With he's experience and skills,
One cant help but wonder why Leathafase has not dropped an album to
date to why he is still yet to get that recognition beyond just the
Wu-tang clan's fans to date.
Wu-international caught up
with Leathafase and heard what he had to say about the newly
developed problem or beef with U-God, Upcoming projects, Wu-Tang
Clan... so on and so forth, Please go to the

December. 2005] New Update
The Illest Knob - Student Of The
Old, Leader Of the New: Wu-International catches up with
Ill Knob Of KGB. KGB became known when they blasted out of the
guidance of The RZA along side Protect Ya Neck/Wu-Tang management
camp some years ago, dropping hot singles and featuring along side
the likes of Deadly Venoms, M.M.O, Black Knights, and so on, then
just like the rest of the Wu-tang clan fam affiliates, little was
heard of them, the main head of the group Ill Knob surfaced in a
number of projects from Storm, Mobb Deep, Daz Dillinger, and has
since never looked back, the title of this short article should have
been called "The return Of Ill Knob" but the truth
is the God never left, he has always been doing music since he
started, it was the world who was not geared up for him, it was the
world that was close to forget about pretending not to know much
about this talented lyricist, his "For
The Streets EP" stands out to date, but regardless of all that,
Ill Knob is pushing he's way back into the forefront, with his own
label (Flawless
entertainment), still repping KGB, and Wu-Tang, still managed by
super producer Storm of Rocks The World, a new album almost
complete, new mixtape completed and on sale, beef with Fat Joe and
more, the question is "Is the world still ready for Knob"? Ill Knob
is stepping up to the front where he rightfully belongs, Be Warned!
Find out more as Ill Knob drops tells
us what he has been up, Reason for leaning forward at Fat Joe of
Terror Squad, Where to get the new hot mixtape assaulting the
streets, Listen to the new song Up here (or the diss song at our
forum).

teamed up with Wu-tang clan members, they have been involved in
preovious collaborative projects such as the
Wu-Tang Clan's 10th Anniversary Box
Set Collector's edition which featured a Mathematics Mix
Tape and recently with Dreddy Kruger on a
WuLife limited edition Mixtape. You can view some or more of

G-Clef Da Mad Komposa: Of Soul
Kid Klik / Chambermusik fame releases 2 instrumentals albums today "Kompositionz
Vol 1 & 2 [1-17 & 18-33] (The Soulkid Instrumental Classics)"
respectively. G-Clef da Mad Komposa is unique among Hip-Hop
Producers in that his talent as an emcee and a professional musician
have put him at the underground forefront of every avant garde
movement in the history of Hip-Hop since he started making tracks in
1988. Here by popular demand are some of the classic instrumental
tracks that provided the sonic canvas for artists such as himself,
the legendary Soul Kid Klik, Ghetto Philharmonic, Infamous Mr.
Savage, Goodfella Mike G, and even the late great Weldon Irvine.
Presented here in two volumes, Kompositionz, Volume 1 and 2, should
finally establish, without a doubt, the classic quality of G-Clef's
beats that earned him the title of the 'Mad Komposa' from his peers.
Can be ordered at chambermusik. Click On Pictures for full track
listing of albums, Or click on the
Instrumentals album

November. 2005] New Update
Blue Raspberry: Killa Queen
Bee about to sting the nation with her soulful, highly anticipated
album "Out Of The Blue", the vocal queen behind most of the Wu-Tang
Clan's hits. Yes, her album is about to drop and Yes, this one is
legit and definitely coming out, unlike the fake internet scam
ran by Sun R.A. and label some time back. This will be coming out
soon from chambermusik.

Discovered by the Clan working in a
casino, Blue Raspberry emerged as the group's in-house female
vocalist during the first round of Wu-Tang solo projects. She added
vocals to tracks on Method Man's Tical and Raekwon's Only Built 4
Cuban Linx, but seemed to have her position somewhat usurped by
Tekitha on the Clan's second album Wu-Tang Forever. Nevertheless,
she has continued to appear on Wu projects including Method Man &
Redman's Blackout! and the Ghost Dog soundtrack, and now about to
release her solo album. A solo album, which was scheduled for 1999
but was never released, is known to be in the vaults, titled either
Black Shampoo or Blunted Soul. Her stage name was given to her by
Killah Priest, who said she reminded him of a blue raspberry.
Appears On: "Release Yo' Delf", "Mr. Sandman", "Stimulation", Method
Man, Tical (1994); "Rainy Dayz", "Glaciers Of Ice", Raekwon, Only
Built 4 Cuban Linx (1995); "What's Goin' On", Gravediggaz,The Pick,
The Sickle & The Shovel (1998); "Young Hearts", Cappadonna,The
Pillage (1998); "Cereal Killer", Method Man & Redman,Blackout!
(1999); "Strange Eyes", "4 Sho Sho" Ghost Dog: The Way of the
Samurai - The Album (1999); "Killa Beez" Wu-Tang Killa
Bees: The Sting compilation, (2002).

November. 2005] New Update
The RZA Releases the Soundtrack to
DERAILED on WU Music Group/36 Chambers Records: DERAILED
Soundtrack in Stores November 22
The RZA executive produced soundtrack to the #3 box office hit, and
Miramax film DERAILED, soundtrack is due in stores November 22. RZA,
who also stars in the movie, assembled a provocative cast of
artist's for the soundtrack that gives adults a diverse range of
eclectic stylized R&B and urban music that was inspired by the
movie.
RZA brings this production to light with tracks from talented
newcomers, Queen's native, Rular Rah who takes you on a gritty
journey with his rap track "Johnny," Thea, the Holland-born singer
entrances you with her melodic, sexy sound on "I Love You" and "My
Love," Grayson Hill puts a urban blues spin on a remake of Paul
Simon's "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover," Maurice lends a seductive R&B
sound to his adult themed tracks "Sabotage," "I'm Sorry" and "Better
Man." The soundtrack is a worthy listen for those who can appreciate
music that they never saw coming from one of hip hop's most creative
and influential personas.

Ghostface Killah Refuses To
Perform At A Concert: By many accounts, Friday night's hip-hop
and dance concert at the Millennium Center fell far short of its
billing as a revolution in Triad nightlife.
The two top-billed artists did not perform. De La Soul wasn't there,
and Ghostface Killah of Wu Tang Clan refused to perform after the
promoter told him that he couldn't pay him in full, leaving some
concert-goers feeling as if they wasted their money. The promoter,
Dan Ehrlich, said yesterday that he is $15,000 to $20,000 in debt
from the concert. He admitted that he has not been able to fully pay
the artists because he relied on ticket sales at the door - which
didn't provide enough money
Issues Surrounding Darkim Be Allah
album release: There have been an
incongruous
report coming in from another source on
the validity or authenticity of the release of the album advertised
below for Darkim Be Allah. More information on this is required from
the specific party [Darkim himself] releasing the album within the next 24 hours else
the advertisement would be taken down as there are net speculations
that this is a bootleg, and no one is for sure it is or if it isn't.
more information will be available soon as we have been informed
there will be a response from Darkim in audio format soon.
Raekwon To Cast On Just For Kicks:
French/American documentary directed by Thabaut De Longeville will
feature Raekwon, Damon Dash, Russel Simmons, Fab 5 Freddy,
Grandmaster Caz and many more. This is the first documentary on one
of pop culture's biggest phenomena, Just For Kicks charts the
athletics footwear fetish from sneaker's early adoption by the style
of warriors of 1970's NYC to their status today as a de facto
apparel of choice for an entire generation. The film looks closely
at the $26 billion industry engendered by the fashion choice, and
the hip-hop community that helped popularize it.

broadcast will be followed by worldwide DVD release featuring a 90
minutes cut as well as additional bonus footage.

Ol' Dirty Bastard R.I.P.: Last

Shout Out to Shyheim who will be 28 on the 14th of this month.
The RZA's Performance On Derailed
(Review): As reviewd by Jam Showbiz Movies!, Aniston and yummy
British co-star Clive Owen play two astonishingly attractive,
unhappily married people who meet on a Chicago commuter train when
she comes to his rescue by paying his fare.
The one breakout performance is that of Wu-Tang Clan’s Rza, who
manages to steal every scene he is in as Owen’s clever, cool office
assistant with a shady past.
Jennifer Aniston is horribly miscast in this unintentionally funny
psychological thriller about an affair gone wrong. Even worse, Clive
Owen loses his British accent. The only reason for people to see
this film is the scene-stealing performance of Wu-Tang Clan’s Rza,
who plays Owen’s clever office assistant.

Myspace Records To Be Launched By
Mypsace & Interscope: MySpace, the leading lifestyle portal with
more than 36 million members, has joined forces with Interscope
Records to create MySpace Records, a new label and innovative model
for the future of music development and marketing. The newly formed
label will function with the flexibility and independence of an
indie, sustained by the resources and strength of a major, enabling
MySpace Records to support niche artists as well as break-through
acts expected to become mainstream.
MySpace Records will leverage the website's 36 million member
community to discover, sign and market emerging artists. By engaging
and interacting with the impassioned online community, the new
venture will connect the bands, their fans and the label in an
unprecedented way. The label will tap into the website's booming
online music network of more than 550,000 bands that use MySpace to
post tour dates, respond to user comments and interact directly with
their fans.
The first act to sign onto MySpace
Records will be Hollywood Undead, a previously unknown band that
emerged with a groundswell of fans directly from its usage of, and
presence on, MySpace.com. In the past three months the band has
leveraged its MySpace profile to develop a fan base of more than
65,000 friends that respond to blogs, send personalized comments and
even show up to participate in offline events such as a recent video
shoot in Hollywood.
What does this mean for Wu-tang clan
members and its affiliate? Wu-international is putting this up on
its page as a lot of Wu-Tang clan member and its affiliate all have
homes on this site, If every fan can join the members network to
build up a substantial amount, these artists could be picked and
signed by this label via interscope records. Please go to our
link section and check under "Other
Host Of Official Site" heading to see the list of wu-tang
affilated artist on my space, there are definitely more on myspace
than we have so if you know more please email us the links to add to
the list, at the moment we have 4th Disciple, Inspectah Deck,
Cappadonna, U-God, Hell Razah, Killah Priest, Makeba Mooncycle, GZA/Genius
and lots more. Support the artist.

November. 2005] New Update
Ghostface Killah & Trife Da God
album redone and changed: Fans were disappointed last month to
learn that Ghostface Presents Trife Da God "718: Stapleton To
Somali" album was shifted to 2006. It happens the album will be
released "fingers crossed" on the 18th of November 2005.
Unfortunately the title of the album has been changed to "Put
It On The Line" and will include an additional bonus DVD, with
new songs, guests, track listings and so on. This sounds all too
familiar to Wu-Tang Clan fans, as this means that some songs from
the initially planned release has been deleted, shelved, remixed or
changed and most likely will never be released again or if lucky
will be seen on future projects or mixtapes. The good news however
is that the new album also contains new materials to replace any
deleted or changed songs, and comes with a DVD which features Ghostface Killah,
Theodore Unit, GZA/Genius, Cappadonna, Masta Killa, Trife Da God and more - Live in NYC
Oct 2005. For a detailed difference between the two albums, please
check out the Album Section and the
718: Stapleton to Somalia/Put It On The Line album's notes for a

October. 2005] New Update
Latest Update On Cilvaringz: Fans
especially the European based Wu-Tang Clan's fan were excited with
The RZA's signing of a 1st non US based killa beez from Holland
about 6 years ago. Since then, Cilvaringz has gone on to appear on
the Wu-Tang Killa Beez compilation "The
Sting" , The RZA's last 2 solo albums "Birth
Of A Prince, and "Bobby
Digital 2" Produced songs for the likes of the likes of
Ghostface Killah, Warcloud and so on and releasing an instrumental
album "The
Mental Chambers" and the now out of print and highly
sort after Trilogy of Swordsmanship -
Part
I [Return Of The Ten Tigers], and
Part
II [All Star Collection Box], unfortunately Part III [Two Champions of
Shaolin]
of this trilogy never came out to date and was supposed to be an
instrumental album put together by Moongod Allah and Bronze
Nazareth. Cilvaringz has gone on to perform live in more than 37
countries, and latest news is that he is one track away from
completing his first official album which has been in works since
1999.
Responding to a fan on Wutangcorp
forum Cilvaringz said "I've been in the lab working hard on both the DVD and album which are dropping as one package. When? I don't know, but 2006 is very realistic as I am one song away from finalizing recording. That means mixing and mastering are next. I have re-recorded a bunch of stuff, the critics made by the fans about my extensive use of the words 'sword' and 'darts' actually came in handy as they were right, I did use those words too much and wasn't saying anything intelligent in my earlier songs. As the years gone by I became more involved with international matters that attracted my attention and changed my way of thinking, writing and rhyming. On top of that I was so busy touring and setting up tours, I was dividing my focus and
couldn't give 100% to my album, shelving my own shit".
The most exciting information about the album is that Cilvaringz is
not just a Wu-tang clan member but also a fan and therefore, knows
what the fans want and expect from a wu-tang clan album, Masta Killa
proved this was possible when he released "No Said Date"
and kept everything within the fam.
The Clan and affiliated member's
list are massive and they are all located all across the States or
out sometimes touring and this could make it impossible to
keep track of them amongst their busy schedules as was in the case of
Cilvaringz but he has confirmed that the current line up, which
includes guest appearances from Wu-Tang Clan [The RZA, Method Man,
GZA/Genius, Masta Killa, Ghostface Killah, & Raekwon] and
Wu-Tang Killa Beez [Blue Raspberry, 60 Second Assassin & Killah
Priest Of Sunz Of Man, Shabazz The Disciple and Killarmy]. The album
also features an impressive line up of producers, think of the
Wu-Elements, as it has been done by Ringz himself, The RZA, True
Master, Allah Mathematics, 4th Disciple, Bronze Nazareth, Moongod
Allah and Barracuda.
The title of the album is yet unknown
but one thing is for sure, the album will be accompanied by a bonus
DVD, which Ringz says would be jam packed with exclusive
materials and never before seen footage "The DVD is great stuff
as well, with the whole documentary on the biggest international tour done in the history of
Hip hop, In the Studio, Memorable Moments, Anecdotes, Live In Reims [France], Behind the Scenes at Wu-Wear, Making of Chi Kung Video [which I directed], The World According To RZA part II in Egypt [which I directed],
Shoot-outs, Deleted Scenes, etc .. a lot of shit really. I'm trying to make this album actually worth buying and enjoyable, while combining my management and touring responsibilities".
There you have it, a hard working
artists or an artist hard at work, It is quite obvious the album is heavily influenced by the nostalgic Wu sound of the 1995-1997 era,
which every fan not just that of the Wu have been crying out for to
date, it is definitely a project worth waiting for, and with
this year slowing creeping to an end, 2006 cant seem so far away for
the fans to get a hold of a dose of what Cilvaringz has to offer.

October. 2005] New Update:
Protect Ya Neck records/Wu-Tang
Management Presents J. Devin: J. Devine is managed by Devine X.O.
of PYN under the new powerful street click and company, HAZANATI.
HAZANATI is a movement that's vastly growing in the north and south.
Soon to be represented on the west. 225 deep thus far and growing.
It's a management and production team with a click of thirsty wolves
out to get it by any means necessary. HAZANATI is currently run by
Devine X.O. and El Sidiq. You got it right, another powerful entity
about to flourish out of the PYN/WU Fam.

Born in Augusta, Ga. Raised in NY and
ATL. This rap artist brings an unorthodox and extremely unique rap
style. Half bred is the title of his up and coming mix tape. Half
bred means he was half raised and influenced in the south and the
north, specifically, New York and ATL. Therefore, the combination of
a southern flow along with the hardcore flava of the north is
nothing but phenomenal coming from the mouthpiece of this young
creative emcee. J Devine is so versatile; he has joints that
represent every coast, North, West, south, and mid west! J-Devine
has opened for a variety of artist thus far, TI, Mike Jones, Fat Joe
and others. He has also debuted on several mix tapes from the south
and north. His popularity is starting to grow significantly. He's
received praises from many in the game today, The Game, G Unit, Kay
Slay, Murder Inc, Snoop Dog, TI, etc. Look for him to debut on
several tracks by your favorite artists. Spread the word, J. Devine,

Ghostface Killah Releases
Autobiography: Iron Man: True Reflections From The Soul Of The
Wu-Tang Clan.
Sinopsis:
Platinum recording artist and hip-hop legend Ghostface Killah came
of age, along with the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan, in the infamous
"Killer" Hill projects of Staten Island, New York. Unlike so many
contemporary hip-hop stars, Ghostface has actually lived what he
raps about. Famous for his intricate rhyme style and
stream-of-consciousness lyrics, he quickly emerged--along with
Method Man and Raekwon--as one of the biggest stars of the rap
supergroup Wu-Tang Clan.
From the moment of the release of his first solo album, the
now-seminal IRON MAN, Ghostface has proven to be the most critically
acclaimed member of the Wu-Tang Clan. He is, quite simply, one of
the most innovative and talented rappers to emerge from the hip-hop
genre. His three albums are undisputed classics, and his fan base is
nothing less than evangelical in its fervor. Here, for the first
time, his full story--and that of the infamous Wu-Tang Clan--is
finally told. Released date September 30th, 2005.

September. 2005] New Update:
Cappadonna's Upcoming Album [The
Transition]: He is known as Cappachino The Great and Donna
Cappa Goines, Cappadonna first emerged in 1995, spitting serious
darts on "Ice Cream" and "Ice Water" from Raekwon's classic Only
Built For Cuban Linx.... The following year he dropped an excellent
(and hard to find] 12" called "Drastic Measures." He lent
sizzling verses on "Wu-Wear" and "Winter Warz," (from the
soundtracks of High School High and Don't Be A Menace...,) and also
contributed to several tracks on Ghostface's classic debut Ironman.
Known for his colorful slang and dedication to staying dipped, Cappa
represented on both Wu Tang Forever and The W. He released his first
solo album, The Pillage in '98, The Yin , The Yang followed in '01 ,
The Struggle '03 and soon to be released The Transition. For most
true ghetto-raised and respected emcees that have sipped from the
cup of international success, Cappadonna's journey is one of
enlightenment and universal illumination. which he calls himself
"THE UN-ORDINARY LIGHT" the posessor of mad skilled microphone
combat on the front lines of Wu-Tang Clan and the Infamous Killer
Bees army, along with the 1998 success of the groundbreaking
Gold-selling solo set, AFRICAN KILLER BEES PRESENTS: THE PILLAGE,
and one stellar name emerges --

CAPPADONNA!
Now, ushers in the newest and strongest musical chapter in Cappa's
ever-evolving hip-hop story. Entitled THE TRANSITION, it's a lethal
album of lyrical substance, unique and straight from the street .
Cappadonna, the last to join the Wu-Tang Clan, and the first to be
acknowledged as
"the cat with the longest darts" he wants to elevate his individual
artistic identity. "This album," he adds, "represents me coming out
of a state of hell into heaven , "understanding equality that is 36
and that borns born which means i understand my worth, i know my
worth, in short, thats why the album is called "THE TRANSITION"
