Posthumous ODB Album Scheduled

Almost two years after his death from a drug overdose, Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s final album is set to be released.

The inimitable member of the Wu-Tang Clan’s hip-hop dynasty died at the group’s recording studio on November 13 2004. Now, almost two years later, Damon Dash Music Group will release his final album ‘A Son Unique’, on November 7.

As per usual for any hip-hop heavyweight, the album promises a glittering line-up of guests, including Macy Gray, Missy Elliott, Pharrell, fellow Clan-members RZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Method Man and more.

The enigmatic and erratic hip-hop hero sold over 7 million albums through his solo career, under a slew of hilarious pseudonyms including Osirus, Joe Bananas, Dirt McGirt, Dirt Dog, Unique Ason and Big Baby Jesus.

‘A Son Unique’ promises production from Wu-Tang beatmaker The RZA. The album was originally scheduled for release by Roc-A-Fella on August 9, 2005.

The track listing is still not concrete, please click on the picture on the right for the track listing that was posted in August 2005.

Blue Sky Black Death - Da Holocaust / Warcloud Interview

Joining forces in 2004, the team has wasted no time in crafting dynamic tracks for some of the most renowned talent in underground hip-hop. To date, Blue Sky Black Death has worked with the likes of Guru, (Gang Starr), Chief Kamachi (Army of the Pharaohs), Jus Allah (formerly of Jedi Mind Tricks), Da Holocaust aka Warcloud (Wu-Tang) amongst many others.

With a track record that speaks for itself, Black Sky Black Death has already garnered massive critical notoriety. Most recently, they were awarded the prestigious and coveted "Next 100" by URB Magazine.

The tandem's production work can be construed as a prelude to their greatest musical achievement to date: the collaborative concept album (and solo debut) from renowned Wu-Tang affiliate/emcee The Holocaust aka Warcloud. Prominently featured on the RZA's classic album Bobby Digital, fans have long anticipated a solo offering from this underground mainstay. The debut exhibits The Holocaust's verbal ingenuity and penchant for visceral imagery, serving as a validation of his widely acknowledged underground legacy.

Blue Sky Black Death presents: The Holocaust is an unprecedented pairing of some of indie hip-hop's most original and promising new talent. Blue Sky Black Death / Holocaust will be in stores September 5th, 2006.

With little or not much known about Blue Sky Black Death, Wu-International caught up with the dynamic duo Kingston and Young god to find out how it all started, how they linked up with Wu-Tang's / Black Knight's Warcloud, the upcoming holocaust album, being part of possibly the best label (Babygrande) out there right now, and a lot more, read full interview by clicking on any of the pictures or directly from this link.

[17th. July. 2006] New Update:

Shawn Wigs [Theodore Unit/Othorized Fam] - Wigganomics Interviews

Ghostface Killah introduced the world to his new group Theodore Unit with the compilation in 2004 "718". The group is made up of a collection of like minded lyricists and includes Trife Da God, Cappadonna, Solomon Childs, Kryme Life, Shawn Wigs, Du-Lilz and Ghostface Killah himself. While some of the members are well known, very little is known about some of them, one in question is that Shawn Wigs. Now the die hard Wu-Tang fans surely know about Shawn Wigs, as he has been putting in work from the very beginning.
Around 2001, with members Lounge Mode, Crunch-Lo and Molly-Q as Othorized Fam, Wigs blew the underground and internet scene with the now unavailable classic group album "1st Amendment", as put out by 1.4.0 Productions. This album has remained to date one of the highly sort after online albums, and even though it is heavily bootlegged, it sells up to $30 plus on eBay. Shawn was later featured on a number of projects which includes the 3 installment albums from  1.4.0 Productions, guest spots and mixtapes. Most notable guest appearances is his feature on Cappdonna's Iron Fist Pillage film and soundtrack, and later going on to star as "Jay" on the movie "Slugger".

Wig appeals to anyone who gets in contact with him on a first listen due to his unique style, delivery, subject matter and lyrically skills, this is probably what attracted Ghostface to him to get him involved with an all-star line up of talents on the Theodore Project. After 718, it was advertised that Wigs would be releasing a solo album "The 4 Letter Word". Since then nothing much has been heard of him except for a spot on Ghostface's latest outing "Fishscale" on the MF Doom produced track "Jellyfish". Anyone who have had the pleasures of hearing "Poker Face" from Shawn Wigs myspace page would agree that the song has got to be one of, if not the hottest track not out right now. Wu-International was alerted to this track some weeks back, and with questions pouring in about what the man Wigs was up to, it was only right we connected with the man himself for an exclusive interview, which he gladly did for his fans, hear it directly from the original Wigs and he breaks down the meaning of Wigganomics. Click on picture or link on the interview section for the full interview, Enjoy.

Seems Deathcoast LP that was supposed to be released by Warcloud with producers Blue Sky Black Death is on hold, however Wu-Tang fans would be glad to know that Blue Sky Black Death has teamed up with Babygrande to release The Holocaust album. Blue Sky Black Death, are a renowned production duo of Kingston & Young God, they are responsible for the production of the album, presenting the highly anticipated debut LP from Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Holocaust. Holocaust, similarly, has experienced his share of critical fanfare and career accolades, having been prominently featured on RZA's legendary album, Bobby Digital as well as being a member of the Westcoast killa beez Black Knights as featured on "Every Night Is A Black Night" album. [29th. June. 2006] New Update:

Method Man is back! The one and only Johnny Blaze has been given an August 22nd release date for his new album, 4:21 ...The Day After. The album will be released through Def Jam, and features the current single, "Say" with Lauryn Hill.

Method Man recorded much of the album at the famed Electric Lady Studios in Manhattan. Electric Lady studios got its name from legendary musician Jimi Hendrix, and Method Man aimed to capture some of that magic in his own music. Perhaps the venue may surprise some, but that's what Meth has been doing his whole career, as he continues to break any boxes in which fans, or the media, attempt to place him in.

Method Man has turned his attention and priorities towards lyrical content for this album, and drew from some rough life experiences to make this music. He said, "I had a lot on my mind at the time and the second thing was, I decided to really talk about something and I had a lot to draw from and when the pen hit the paper it was like damn, remember this? And by the time I was done it was like s**t, let's go."
